MMRC attended the Sunshine Model Railway Show - 2010. Photos of the show can be found HERE. Thanks to the Sunshine MRC for the oppertunity to attend and have a stand at the show again, this year.

Shire of Melton has completed construction of a new wall to provide the MMRC with a new, dedicated Layout Room. This room provides an area for exlusive use by the MMRC.

Constuction has rapidly progressed on the MMRC's newest 'layout', Phase 1 of the new "Test Track" style layout. This new layout is almost 8 meters long (nearly 24 feet in the old scale) and provides HO (On30) and N scale trackage. There's plans for Phase 2 to go up to a second level, above the existing Phase 1 of the "Test Track". Work has progressed very quickly, with the frame work being constructed, put in place and the top deck put on. The next Tuesday night meet saw the initial track work planned out, with the HO Scale and N scale track laid and tacked to the decking that night. Track work was completed by the next week. Wiring for the layout is under way. We expect to be able to run on both track very soon!

A reminder also, that membership fees, that are due, are payable to the Treasurer, Robert, ASAP.
