A big thank you to everyone who helped out at the Djerriwarrh Festival this year!

It was certainly a big success, with plenty of people coming through the doors for a look at our first ever “exhibition”.

Lots has been happening down at the MMRC Clubrooms, with work really progressing well in an extended Meeting #18.

A very warm day but the members stepped up to the plate and really got things going, laying more ballast, finishing the track pins, soldering almost everything in sight and generally getting a real move on with The Yard layout.

Work will continue at the club’s next meeting, Meeting #19, 22nd October, 2008 @ 7pm-9pm.

We’re hoping to have the layout as near to ready as possible for the Djerriwarrh Festival 2008, which the MMRC is attending, with Meeting Room #1 in the Mechanics’ Institute booked out for the MMRC.

Hopefully we can see you at either our next meeting or at the DJ08 festival!

MMRC at the Djerriwarrh Festival 2008!

The Melton Model Railway Club Inc. will now officially be attending Melton’s annual Djerriwarrh Festival in 2008!

The festival runs from November 6-9, and culminates in a spectacular fireworks display over ‘Police Paddock’.

We have secured a room in the Mechanic’s Institute, next to the Community Hall building.

At this stage we hope to have the MMRC layout “The Yard”, Tony’s “Red River RR” and a small Andrew’s Hobbies stand!

The MMRC’s stand will be open Saturday to Sunday, 8/9 Nov. (Times will be posted when avaliable!)
